Thursday lunch seminars for all participants were at 12:00 PM Thursdays in PLB 168. Click here for a schedule.
The last Thursday Lunch meeting was a panel discussion focused on 'identifying a good grad program, grad project and succeeding at both'. PhD student Julie Bordowitz in the Montgomery-Kaguri lab is the organizer.
Final Project Presentations were held from 9-11:30 AM on July 29 and July 30 in Plant Biology 168. To view the schedule click here.
Farewell Picnic
The farewell picnic was held on Thursday 31 July at 6 PM at Jianping Hu's home - see the Google Calendar for details.
The opening barbeque: held at the Bennings on 30 May.

Meier Gardens
An outing for Plant Genomics Summer Research Program participants can be
planned to Meijer Gardens near Grand Rapids, if enough participants are interested. See http://www.meijergardens.org/ for more information.
MSU Planetarium:
Public observing nights June 6 and 7; July 11 and 12 (Friday and Saturday nights 9:30 to 11 PM. The MSU Observatory is located at the corner of Forest and College Roads. Planetarium shows are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM, and a family show every Sunday at 4 PM.
Summer circle theater – free theatre on the banks of the red cedar river.

Second stage shows are 15 minutes following the mainstage show on many evenings.
Common Ground Music Festival - Lots of live music music in downtown Lansing. July 7-13.
